KARLAG, KARAGANDA AND MINE-MUSEUM | TRAVEL IN KAZAKHSTAN

Many guests associate Karaganda with coal mines and Karlag. And these two associations are interconnected, although the history of each began at a different time. This tour will allow you to immerse yourself in the history of the city from the very foundation of the first mines, learn more about coal mines and see their work, understand what imprint the Karaganda labor camp left on the city and region.

Meeting with the guide and driver. Driving to Dolinka village (1h) to visit Museum of Victims of Political repressions “Karlag”*. Excursion in the Museum (1.5h). Driving back to Karaganda with few stops on the way at the old buildings of Karlag period (1-1.5h). Lunch (1h).
Visiting Mine Museum (1h). Coming back to central part of the city. Sightseeing. End of the tour.
